Our Story

Since 2001

Where It All Started

May Lawn & Home Care was founded in 2001 by Yvonne May and Jake Christiansen right here in the Flathead Valley. Yvonne came into it with a farm kid work ethic, a small truck, and a push mower maintaining properties around Flathead Lake. Jake joined about a year later, bringing his expertise in landscape design and installation to the team.

Over the next decade, the two of them built the company from a small mowing operation into a full-service landscape provider, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliability that their clients came to depend on season after season.

Meet the Owners

Bob & Jon Zanett

Bob and Jon Zanett took ownership of May Lawn & Home Care on April 1, 2015, carrying forward the foundation that Yvonne and Jake established while bringing their own values and vision to the business.

Both brothers were born in Ouray, Colorado, a small mining town tucked into the San Juan Mountains. Their father worked the mines, and their mother worked at the local bank. Bob graduated valedictorian of his class of six, and Jon graduated from a class of 27. They moved to Montana from Minnesota with their families and quickly fell in love with the Flathead Valley.

Bob lives here with his wife Kristi and their three children. Jon, an avid fly fisherman, shares a home with his wife Amy and their two children. The brothers bring the same grit and determination they grew up watching to every project they take on.

From a very young age we really got to see what hard work meant... We also got to see what honesty, integrity, and taking pride in your work meant.
